Songs of the Month: Oct 2018
Well, September is gone, and Autumn is setting in. The leaves are falling and so is new music from some of the world’s top artists. Here’s my monthly round up of numbers to include in your panto!
Opening Number or End of Act I
High Hopes – Panic at the Disco
Perfect for a principal boy-led show like Aladdin or Jack and the Beanstalk, this song is all about a mother’s hopes for her boy and has a killer beat and melody to sock it to your audience. If you’ve got a cast with a great voice, this is one for you. Be warned – it’s not an easy sing.
Love Duet
Don’t Leave Me Alone – David Guetta ft. Anne-Marie
Some might call this a poper banger! It starts off soft but soon kicks off and will really show off your principal boy and girl.
‘I Want’ Number
And You Don’t Even Know It – Everybody’s Talking About Jamie
This gender bending hit is taking the West End by storm and the unapologetic message of acceptance and inclusion is infectious. Perfect for a pantomime where your principal boy/girl is feeling left out like Cinderella or Snow White.
